Teaching without judgment. Everyone has a different reason for wanting to learn flamenco. There is room enough in flamenco and in all of the arts for every level of expertise.
Each person learns differently. I will strive to be flexible in my methods and teach in a way that is easy to understand.
Flamenco is a lifestyle. There are many facets to the art of flamenco; guitar, dance, singing, percussion, food, wine and juergas to name a few. I aim to provide opportunities to experience flamenco up close and personal with different artists and aficionados.
Class will be fun! My philosophy toward my flamenco life is that I will do it as long as I am having fun. This concept has worked for over thirteen years now and I don’t see it changing anytime soon!
What you take away from flamenco could be the posture, the attitude, physical strength, musicality, rhythm, balance, appreciation of the culture. Whether what you learn applies to how you progress as a flamenco dancer, how it influences your other artistic endeavors or how you carry yourself in your day to day routines, it is my goal that you become stronger, more confident and passionate about life.
